We are continuing to finalize the plan, with some new activities as well as some of your favourites from last year.
For the music scene we’re very excited as we expect to see many of last year’s bands come back to perform for you on our grounds. We expect to have the schedule finalized shortly.
The evolving plan will also appear, along with further details on some events, on our Facebook Page. You can also seek further information by contacting us by email at scott.manor@ns.sympatico.ca.
May 2025
- 24th – Bedford Horticultural Society Plant Sale – 9 a.m. to until the plants are gone (Saturday – on the grounds) [rain date on 25 May]
June 2025
- 23 June to 28 August – the Museum is open to the public
- daily hours – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Guided Tours and Exhibits
- the main exhibit in the North Room features specially selected photos and pieces of art. The Fort Sackville Foundation received a grant from HRM that allowed us to select paintings and photos from our collections that were in poor condition and put them through a conservation process. Many of these have not been exhibited before. The pieces were reframed, re-matted with acid free mats, and, as appropriate, protected with non-glare glass. One piece, a very remarkable hand-painted shield with a crest created for the Bedford Home and School Association, circa 1932, received professional conservation and restoration work. All of these items are on display throughout June and July. Please visit and enjoy what is to be seen – Francene Cosman, curator
- 28th – Georgian Social – 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. (Saturday – in the house) [see the details here]
- the public is invited to get together, on the grounds and, with guides, inside the Scott Manor House
- two music sessions by the Pipes and Drums of Clan Farquharson
- two music sessions by the Lakeview Jam Band
- this is a chance to drink lemonade, munch on oatcakes, and mingle with the Chair and volunteers of the Fort Sackville Foundation
- you will be able to chat with your Legislative Representative and your HRM Councilor
