Come visit the Fort Sackville Foundation heritage display from 10 am – 4 pm at Sunnyside Mall (opposite Indigo and Peoples Jewellers), on Wednesday, February 12.
It’s a great opportunity to explore our collection of Bedford photos from 1910 to the 1980s. We’d like to know more about some of the photos and invite you to help preserve Bedford history. Maybe you’ll recognize some of the people, places or events and be able to tell us more.
There will be tables and chairs so folks can stop to browse photo albums on several topics: Bedford-area schools (including student group pictures—it would be wonderful to know all the students’ names), houses, bridges, railways, fires, floods and other events.
Our friendly volunteers look forward to chatting with you about the photos and the work the Fort Sackville Foundation does at Scott Manor House collecting, preserving and promoting Bedford heritage.
Visitors can also check out the latest community heritage resources from our Reading Room, find out more about volunteering, and enter a draw for a “Tea for Two” gift certificate to our summer Tea Room.
Celebrate Heritage Month by visiting the Fort Sackville Foundation display. Let your family and friends know, so they can stop by too.
